One of our core beliefs at The Gem Center is that creativity and innovation go beyond traditional art mediums. We see art and ingenuity in all aspects of our world. We emphasize the process of trial and error, experimentation, exploring of ideas, and the general practice of tinkering. 

 

Part of The Gem Center for the Arts long-term plan is to build a makerspace focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) for community members.

We are currently in the early planning stages of a permanent space for this kind of creative outlet and are working closely with many different organizations in the community to get it off the ground. 

​

In the meantime, we plan to offer STEM/STEAM focused classes in our VIVID Classroom Space from an eclectic group of teachers, artists, and community members.
