Ten explorers. Four boats. One Grand Canyon. MEN ON BOATS is a delightfully bizarre, highly theatrical, physical play that tells the story of John Wesley Powell’s 1869 expedition down the Colorado river, while examining artificial constructs of masculinity and dismantling the male conquest fantasy of Manifest Destiny, MEN ON BOATS re-examines history with women and non-binary people in the forefront.
